Anjou is now one with Haleakalā

[May 16, 2012] - On May 16, 2012 at 4:30am Hawaiian time, Anjou's ashes were lovingly dispersed on the north side of the 10,023 ft summit of Mt. Haleakalā... under a clear star splashed sky - as three shooting stars lit paths in different directions and times...

In Hawaiian folklore, the summit of Haleakalā was home to the grandmother of the demigod Māui. And as the legend goes, Māui's grandmother helped him capture the sun and force it to slow its journey across the sky in order to lengthen the day... Anjou is now one with Haleakalā.

Remembering Anjou MacPherson

[Apr 23, 2012] - Anjou MacPherson, co-founder of the Goldzone Group - left terra firma in peace at 6:37am April 20, 2012 - Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in the loving arms of her husband, mum, dad and brother...

Anjou was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, it is now 2012 - that's 7 years of a remarkable, spellbinding and magical journey... (punctuated with challenges)

... Like Charles Dickens in The Tale of Two Cities... "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times" ...

While undergoing cycles of treatment and healing, Anjou continued to work - doing some of her best work ever. She remained positive, optimistic and her cheerfulness despite the situation has inspired people everywhere and had her fast becoming every Dr's favorite patient. Despite it all Anjou refused to be a victim and remained at cause until the very end. She truly was the most incredible person we have ever had the privilege of knowing. An incredible wife, partner, leader, teacher and the best friend you could ever have.

On April 2nd she took her last flight home to Vancouver to spend her remaining days with family. She was peaceful, comfortable, without pain and looked out the window across the bay to a huge range of snow capped mountains.

It goes without saying we are all heartbroken... and yet our hearts are full of appreciation, love and joy for having the opportunity to know, learn from and share part of the journey with her.

We believe the spirit and soul are eternal and Anjou lives on in spirit and in our hearts...
